Warm Greetings! Fresh hopes of a bright future keep us going ahead in the post-pandemic era. Lessons learnt well should make us better citizens who are responsible towards nature and fellow beings. Being one of the worst affected segments by COVID-19, the technical education sector should take up the duty of exploring various means of technological interventions to improve quality of life and to reduce human suffering. Collaboration among different knowledge systems is essential to make the country reach among the best in the world. Hence the faculty shall focus their research efforts towards these areas and motivate the students to come up with innovative ideas. We must try to create demand for local products to help the micro, small and medium scale industries, particularly in consumables. Efforts to improve the quality of local products to make them globally competitive must also go hand in hand. We have signed some strategically important MoUs with a few industries and R&D organizations. This includes TECHIN, IIT Palakkad, Metal Industries Shornur, NanoTech Dynamics at the Defence Park Ottappalam. Combined with our involvement in the YIP and ODOI projects of K-Disc, these MoUs will create a framework for achieving the ambitious goals mentioned above. I am also happy to announce that our institution has been recommended for ISO Certification by TÜV NORD. We are also shortlisted for implementing the Mini Industrial Unit on Campus project of the state government. This might be a game changer in the history of our institution.Reghu Raj
